Kirilova

Project Leader

Assist. Katerina Kirilova is a biologist. She graduated at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (2013) as MSc in Human and Animal Physiology. Since 2014 she’s been working on her PhD Thesis “Postural and Motor Coordination during Sensory Conflict across the Life Span“ at the Institute of Neurobiology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Since 2017 she’s been assistant at the same department. Her scientific interests are in the fields of Neurophysiology, Child growth and development, Postural and motor control, Postural balance during quiet stance and sensory conflict. Member of the Bulgarian Society of Physiological Sciences.

Stambolieva

Science Consultant

Assoc. Prof. Katerina Stambolieva is an engineer. She graduated at the Technical University of Sofia (1985) as MSc in Medical Electronics. Since 1986 she has been working as reseach fellow at the Institute of Physiology, now Institute of Neurobiology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She has defened there a PhD Thesis on “Computerized Posturographic Investigation of Human Vestibular Structure Functional State” (2007). Her scientific interests are in the fields of Posture and equilibrium, Linear and nonlinear analyses of biomedical signals, Neurophysiology. Member of the Bulgarian Society of Physiological Sciences and European College of Sports Science.
